the best way is to make it short. (I'm not emo but some of my friends are) One girl I saw kept it long with side bangs and dyed it black (or you could do blunt straight bangs). Razor the ends and make it really choppy and be sure to keep it super straight. good luck!

you can leave it mostly long but have edgy layers cut in for an asymmetrical cut. think black version of posh spice's hair, but longer. it should be very piece-y and ragged. even if you only cut some bangs into your hair and leave the rest straight, make sure the bangs are edgy and asymmetrical.

I'm not a kid anymore but I keep hearing about this "emo" thing kids are referring to. I don't know what it is, but it sounds VERY strange and not healthy. I would stay away from it.....

well.. ther ain't reali a specific 'emo' hair style to follow, but most of the time they'll hav a big side fringe, and maybe spiked up at the back.. but u don't have to follow that.

Since You Have Long Hair You Could Get Some Choppy Layers Done Into It And Dye It Jet Black Or Go For A Light Light Blonde And Get Some Coloured Streaks. Then You'd Have To Poof It Up A Bit With spray Or Gel, Or tease it And Get A really good straightening iron. Hope I Helped. =]

why do they call this style "emo"??? "goth" it is...is pretty clear to me! thanks for the pics Ezz! i like it myself. i already do black hair color, and love it! it can't get any blacker than what i have. and to think elvis doned priscilla up in black hair...and a semi "goth" image that wasn't trendy yet...ha! a good black is when it seems to have a blue highlight to it. not red or other. it's the best. all though black didn't look good on priscilla, i loved both hers and elvis' blue black hair color. still do. good luck questioner with your answers. ~~mafi
