I want to make my hair smoother and flater for my new hair do, but I don't want to go out and buy a $100 flat iron. I'm looking for something like maybe a $60 flat iron or less (the less the better, but it has to work well), maybe some shampoo that helps, things like that. My hair is pretty thick, but it's not that curly, it's just wavy. I don't want to use a gel or spray, because that would make my hair stiff and I don't want that.
What is the best, cheapest way to make my hair flat, straight, kinda like emo people's hair?
1. To get the look you want, you will have to fork out at least 100 for a good flat iron.
2. You can buy cheap "shine spray" by VO5 at Target for like 3 bucks. It does not make your hair stiff, it makes it soft and shiny. Use that before you use a flat iron.
3. If you're going to spend $60 you should just spend 40 more to get the "Chi". You will get frusterated with the cheapo-straightner and end up buying the "Chi" later, so you might as well do it now.

Well if your going to straighten it alot it is best to throw down the money for a really good one. But you can buy straightners for any price they don't work as well but whatever. Just make sure you use flat iron protecting spray on yoru hair.
